Fear of the Lord

I am going to try something new in this post.

I am giving a 15-minute meditation on Proverbs 1.7 next Sunday for my church. I wanted to solicit some thoughts on what it means that the fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge. First, what does it mean to ‘fear’ the Lord? Second, what does it mean to that it is the beginning of knowledge? How does this become applicable to the believer to where it is not some ethereal ideaology?

 Any thoughts are welcome.
